Double Break Isolators
Double Break Dicconnector/ Isolators can be suitable for all typical substation layouts, which have minimal overhead clearance, as blade is designed to apply the contact pressure fully with the closing operation and release the contact pressure before the moving blade starts opening. Double break disconnectors/Isolators are normally supplied with earth or without earth switch based on the requirement and they can be either with mechanical gang or with electrical gang operation in order to ensure the smooth operation of all the three poles simultaneoulsy. They are excellent for installations, which have large amount of fault cur¬rent due to reverse loop contact design. The design of two breaks per phase in series provides much greater line charging or magnetizing current interrupting capability with standard arcing horns.
Centre Break Isolators
Center Break Dicconnector/ Isolators can be suitable for all typical substation layouts, which have minimal overhead clearance, as blades are self wiping contacts. “Center Break Dicconnector/ Isolators” and have two rotating Insulator columns carrying the Male and Female contact assemblies per pole. An economic advantage of using Centre Break Disconnector/Isolators is that it requires only six insulators per Disconnector versus nine insulators required for Double End Break Disconnector/Isolators. Centre break disconnectors/Isolators are normally supplied with earth or without earth switch based on the requirement and they can be either with mechanical gang or with electrical gang operation in order to ensure the smooth operation of all the three poles simultaneoulsy.
